Investing.com – Mexico equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Financial Services, Telecoms Services and Consumer Goods & Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC lost 0.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX), which rose 2.18% or 0.840 points to trade at 39.390 at the close. Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:GMEXICOB) added 2.07% or 1.340 points to end at 66.200 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 1.11% or 2.160 points to 196.990 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Financiero Banorte (MX:GFNORTEO), which lost 1.85% or 1.890 points to trade at 100.120 in late trade. Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) declined 1.81% or 0.670 points to end at 36.260 and Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX) shed 1.65% or 0.340 points to 20.240.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 157 to 122 and 7 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.77% or 9.55 to $1226.35 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 1.82% or 0.98 to hit $52.88 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 0.25% or 0.14 to trade at $55.70 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.10% to 20.2791, while EUR/MXN fell 0.06% to 21.4856.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 101.00.
