Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Durables And Apparel, Energy and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.91%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 2.18% or 0.70 points to trade at 32.80 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) added 1.36% or 0.75 points to end at 56.00 and REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.01% or 0.01 points to 1.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 5.21% or 0.8 points to trade at 13.7 in late trade. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 2.90% or 0.56 points to end at 18.73 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 2.36% or 0.5 points to 19.8.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 107 to 74 and 20 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.11% or 0.05 to $44.39 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.60% or 0.76 to hit $46.87 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 1.36% or 18.05 to trade at $1344.75 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.65% to 9.1988, while USD/NOK fell 1.43% to 8.1873.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.81% at 94.96.
