Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Banking, Software & Computer Services and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.97%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which rose 3.46% or 0.3 points to trade at 9.6 at the close. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 67.50 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was down 0.44% or 1.1 points to 247.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which lost 7.86% or 1.52 points to trade at 17.81 in late trade. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 6.01% or 2.14 points to end at 33.49 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 5.50% or 1.5 points to 26.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 131 to 33 and 18 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 4.51% or 2.21 to $46.78 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 4.25% or 2.13 to hit $47.97 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 1.06% or 14.15 to trade at $1353.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.73% to 9.3131, while USD/NOK rose 1.44% to 8.4127.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.65% at 96.23.
