Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, S&P Lima Juniors and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General fell 0.14%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA), which rose 6.86% or 0.170 points to trade at 2.650 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 5.22% or 0.007 points to end at 0.141 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 2.63% or 0.100 points to 3.900 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Buenaventura (LM:BVN), which lost 3.00% or 0.240 points to trade at 7.750 in late trade. Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC) declined 2.40% or 0.70 points to end at 28.52 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) shed 1.54% or 0.200 points to 12.800.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 15 to 8 and 6 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.15% or 0.07 to $43.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.19% or 0.09 to hit $47.34 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1163.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2700, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.6063.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.03% at 96.89.
