Proactive Investors - Weather forecasters are predicting that a combination of weak sunshine and low winds will see the amount of renewable power generated plummet with gas-fired generators and imports required to fill the gap.
Some areas of the country had registered zero sunshine in November before today, while light winds across Europe, known as dunkelflaute, have stalled wind farms.
