Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Public Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.54% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 7.37% or 550.0 points to trade at 8010.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) added 4.84% or 90.0 points to end at 1950.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) was up 3.81% or 260.0 points to 7080.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p), which lost 1.24% or 15.0 points to trade at 1190.0 in late trade. Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) declined 1.20% or 300.0 points to end at 24700.0 and Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) shed 0.89% or 160.0 points to 17900.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 1.94% or 2.44 to $128.47 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.10% or 3.00 to hit $3064.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.84% or 9.70 to trade at $1139.00 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.03% to 2870.00, while BRL/COP rose 1.26% to 756.08.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.26% at 95.41.
