Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 0.67% or 400.0 points to trade at 59800.0 at the close. Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) added 0.56% or 0.1 points to end at 17.9 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) was up 0.51% or 60.0 points to 11760.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 5.96% or 85.0 points to trade at 1340.0 in late trade. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 3.48% or 110.0 points to end at 3055.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 2.36% or 200.0 points to 8290.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 8 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 0.58% or 0.70 to $121.67 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.77% or 23.00 to hit $2976.50 , while the April Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.90 to trade at $1262.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 1.20% to 3116.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.02% to 833.87.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 97.18.
