Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Software & Computer Services and Technology sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.36%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 11.89% or 935 points to trade at 8800 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 11.87% or 970 points to end at 9140 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 2.68% or 6.7 points to 256.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which lost 5.60% or 3.50 points to trade at 59.05 in late trade. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 1.95% or 2.5 points to end at 125.5 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) shed 0.38% or 0.5 points to 129.5.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 104 to 37 and 19 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.65% or 0.32 to $49.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.70% or 0.35 to hit $50.23 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.45% or 5.75 to trade at $1264.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.41% to 6.5573, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4421.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.29% at 93.54.
