Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Transport, Multi Investment and Retail sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which rose 9.70% or 0.65 points to trade at 7.35 at the close. Tihama Advertising&Public Relations (SE:4070) added 9.41% or 2.70 points to end at 31.40 and Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220) was up 6.44% or 0.85 points to 14.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Industrial Investment Group (SE:2250), which lost 5.78% or 0.65 points to trade at 10.60 in late trade. National Petrochemical Company (SE:2002) declined 5.32% or 0.75 points to end at 13.35 and AL JOUF CEMENT COMPANY (SE:3091) shed 5.29% or 0.45 points to 8.05.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 138 to 23 and 6 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.25% or 0.71 to $31.00 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.96% or 0.33 to hit $34.13 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.45% or 16.80 to trade at $1174.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.43% to 4.1854, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7506.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.48% at 96.98.
