Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare, Chemicals and Personal & Household Goods sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which rose 1.79% or 2.7 points to trade at 153.6 at the close. Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb) added 1.58% or 4.0 points to end at 257.5 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 1.36% or 3.3 points to 245.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included DSV (CO:DSV), which lost 0.67% or 2.2 points to trade at 327.8 in late trade. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) declined 0.25% or 30 points to end at 11830 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) shed 0.09% or 10 points to 11320.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 81 to 41 and 18 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.09% or 1.10 to $53.85 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.29% or 1.26 to hit $56.34 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.92% or 11.05 to trade at $1186.75 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.67% to 6.9648, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4369.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.66% at 100.57.
