LONDON (Reuters) - Crystal Palace and Senegal defender Pape Souare has suffered jaw and thigh injuries in a car crash.
"Crystal Palace regret to confirm that Pape Souare was yesterday involved in a car accident and taken to hospital in London," the club said in a statement on their website (www.cpfc.co.uk) on Monday.
"The player has sustained injuries to his thigh and jaw bone and will remain in hospital whilst he receives treatment. The club are liaising closely with the hospital on his progress and we obviously wish him a speedy recovery."
The 26-year-old left back has featured in three of 11th-placed Palace's four league games this season.
