Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Public Services, Industrials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 1.47% or 90.0 points to trade at 6210.0 at the close. Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) added 0.93% or 140.0 points to end at 15200.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was up 0.88% or 300.0 points to 34460.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which lost 19.73% or 890.0 points to trade at 3620.0 in late trade. Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) declined 4.23% or 540.0 points to end at 12220.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) shed 2.22% or 25.0 points to 1100.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 16 to 11 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.17% or 0.20 to $118.72 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March fell 0.09% or 3.00 to hit $3251.50 , while the February Gold contract rose 1.51% or 15.90 to trade at $1065.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.51% to 3328.50, while BRL/COP fell 3.08% to 835.63.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.48% at 98.72.
