(Bloomberg) -- The European Union said it would be “happy” to offer clarifications on the Brexit deal that might help build a majority for the accord in the British Parliament, while reiterating that renegotiation is off the table.

U.K. Prime Minister Theresa May is due to meet with European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker this week as she leads a last-ditch drive to convince EU leaders to help her save her divorce agreement. Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay, meanwhile, continues a series of talks with the EU’s chief negotiator, Michel Barnier.

“We are happy to revisit anything that would clarify the situation without reopening the Withdrawal Agreement,” commission spokesman Margaritis Schinas told reporters in Brussels on Monday. He said the EU’s aim would be “helping our British partners to construct a majority in the House of Commons.”

Britain is on course to leave the EU on March 29 without a deal after the U.K. Parliament last month rejected the draft Withdrawal Agreement that May brought back from Brussels. Corporate leaders are becoming more and more worried about a no-deal Brexit and the economic impact that would bring.

U.K. Foreign Secretary Jeremy Hunt, on his own tour of several EU capitals, on Monday insisted that “there is a way through” the current impasse.

“We know how we can get a majority in Parliament,” Hunt said as he arrived for a meeting of EU foreign ministers in Brussels. “With vision on both sides, we can find a way through that has the support of the British Parliament and also works for the European Union.”
