Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 1.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa), which rose 0.43% or 0.8 points to trade at 187.0 at the close. Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to end at 213.8 and Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) was down 0.26% or 0.40 points to 153.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 2.85% or 0.75 points to trade at 25.57 in late trade. Hennes & Mauritz AB, H & M ser. B (ST:HMb) declined 2.12% or 5.8 points to end at 267.4 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) shed 2.01% or 3.90 points to 190.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 413 to 182 and 46 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.43% or 0.20 to $46.38 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.45% or 0.22 to hit $49.45 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.49% or 6.65 to trade at $1350.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.15% to 9.5068, while USD/SEK rose 0.26% to 8.4375.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 94.86.
