Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Transport and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 1.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 12.63% or 2.58 points to trade at 23.00 at the close. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 10.98% or 2.1 points to end at 21.0 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 6.54% or 1.70 points to 27.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which lost 1.94% or 2.30 points to trade at 116.30 in late trade. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) declined 1.69% or 11.0 points to end at 638.0 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL:NHY) shed 1.50% or 0.52 points to 34.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 110 to 65 and 9 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.09% or 0.03 to $34.63 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.16% or 0.06 to hit $36.87 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.26% or 15.60 to trade at $1257.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.09% to 9.4082, while USD/NOK fell 0.82% to 8.5927.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.54% at 97.67.
