Investing.com – Israel equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Real Estate and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 gained 0.72%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Perrigo (TA:PRGO), which rose 4.83% or 1870 points to trade at 40570 at the close. OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK) added 1.62% or 57 points to end at 3580 and Ormat Technologies (TA:ORA) was up 1.33% or 220 points to 16710 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Israel Corp (TA:ILCO), which lost 1.43% or 950 points to trade at 65450 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 1.29% or 20 points to end at 1536 and International (TA:FTIN) shed 0.95% or 43 points to 4487.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 179 to 146 and 119 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.31% or 0.15 to $48.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.74% or 0.37 to hit $49.46 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1286.15 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.16% to 3.8710, while EUR/ILS rose 0.06% to 4.3477.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.24% at 94.80.
