Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SKF, AB ser. B (ST:SKFb), which rose 1.18% or 1.6 points to trade at 137.2 at the close. Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 0.94% or 1.4 points to end at 150.8 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) was up 0.63% or 0.7 points to 111.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Modern Times Group MTG AB ser. B (ST:MTGBs), which lost 2.32% or 5.3 points to trade at 223.4 in late trade. ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST:ASSAb) declined 1.70% or 3.0 points to end at 173.5 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) shed 1.53% or 3.7 points to 238.6.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 311 to 265 and 9 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.56% or 0.56 to $36.37 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.10% or 0.04 to hit $36.38 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.55% or 5.90 to trade at $1074.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.57% to 9.2296, while USD/SEK fell 1.14% to 8.4057.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 98.08.
