Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.76%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS), which rose 5.43% or 1.39 points to trade at 27.00 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (publ) FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 2.88% or 0.245 points to end at 8.760 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMAS) was up 1.96% or 0.74 points to 38.49 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which lost 3.65% or 0.1860 points to trade at 4.9040 in late trade. Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) declined 2.99% or 0.118 points to end at 3.824 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) shed 2.65% or 0.49 points to 18.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 104 to 73 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for November delivery was down 3.22% or 1.57 to $47.16 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 3.17% or 1.47 to hit $44.88 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.32% or 4.15 to trade at $1312.35 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1164, while EUR/GBP fell 0.28% to 0.8495.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.09% at 95.96.
