Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Transport, Media & Publishing and Energy & Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share declined 3.31% to hit a new 3-year low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were The Saudi British Bank (SE:1060), which rose 3.29% or 0.70 points to trade at 22.00 at the close. Halwani Bros (SE:6001) added 2.50% or 1.50 points to end at 61.50 and Anb Insurance (SE:8011) was up 0.45% or 0.25 points to 56.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included AXA Cooperative Insurance Company (SE:8250), which lost 10.76% or 1.55 points to trade at 12.85 in late trade. BURUJ COOPERATIVE INSURANCE CO (SE:8270) declined 10.26% or 1.60 points to end at 14.00 and Saudi Pharmaceutical Appliances (SE:2070) shed 10.25% or 2.85 points to 24.95.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 163 to 3 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was up 1.16% or 0.35 to $30.84 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.81% or 0.24 to hit $30.43 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1086.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.11% to 4.0870, while USD/SAR fell 0.10% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.02% at 98.94.
