Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Hotels & Tourism, Energy & Utilities and Financial Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Salama Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8050), which rose 5.39% or 0.87 points to trade at 17.00 at the close. Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) added 2.93% or 0.59 points to end at 20.70 and Alujain Corporation (SE:2170) was up 2.69% or 0.61 points to 23.25 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Middle East Paper Co (SE:1202), which lost 5.12% or 2.05 points to trade at 38.00 in late trade. Bawan (SE:1302) declined 4.60% or 2.15 points to end at 44.60 and BANK ALBILAD (SE:1140) shed 2.97% or 1.05 points to 34.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 87 to 77 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 1.46% or 0.69 to $48.08 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.31% or 0.17 to hit $53.63 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.14% or 1.50 to trade at $1095.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.31% to 4.1469, while USD/SAR unchanged 0.00% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.14% at 96.77.
