Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.49% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 2.35% or 5.7 points to trade at 248.5 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 2.26% or 10.0 points to end at 452.5 and DSV (CO:DSV) was up 2.22% or 6.1 points to 281.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TDC A/S (CO:TDC), which added 0.31% or 0.11 points to trade at 35.64 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 0.52% or 45 points to end at 8700 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) gained 0.60% or 50 points to 8370.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 117 to 32 and 12 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 1.21% or 0.55 to $44.86 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 1.18% or 0.55 to hit $46.21 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.08% or 1.05 to trade at $1359.45 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.03% to 6.7313, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4379.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.35% at 96.65.
