Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 0.59% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 5.01% or 145.0 points to trade at 3040.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 3.66% or 50.0 points to end at 1415.0 and Grupo Aval Acciones Y Valores Pf (CN:GAA_p) was up 1.72% or 20.0 points to 1180.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which lost 2.91% or 250.0 points to trade at 8350.0 in late trade. Cemargos (CN:CCB) declined 0.93% or 100.0 points to end at 10700.0 and Pfgrupoarg (CN:ARG_p) shed 0.81% or 140.0 points to 17160.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 16 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was down 0.02% or 0.03 to $120.97 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 0.07% or 2.00 to hit $2999.50 , while the April Gold contract fell 0.26% or 3.30 to trade at $1267.40 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.06% to 3153.75, while BRL/COP fell 0.95% to 831.29.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 97.11.
