Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Services, Industrials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 0.58%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI), which rose 1.11% or 0.180 points to trade at 16.460 at the close. Bank of the Philippine Islands (PS:BPI) added 0.95% or 1.00 points to end at 106.00 and BDO Unibank Inc (PS:BDO) was up 0.26% or 0.30 points to 115.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bloomberry Resorts Corp (PS:BLOOM), which lost 5.05% or 0.330 points to trade at 6.210 in late trade. Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC) declined 3.56% or 6.800 points to end at 184.200 and DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC) shed 3.33% or 0.420 points to 12.180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 114 to 70 and 44 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.06% or 0.75 to $1344.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.05% or 0.50 to hit $46.91 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 0.87% or 0.43 to trade at $48.73 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was down 0.09% to 6.9904, while USD/PHP fell 0.30% to 46.448.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 94.30.
