Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Utilities and Telecoms sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 0.68%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 2.88% or 0.1950 points to trade at 6.9550 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.04% or 0.60 points to end at 58.15 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 0.93% or 0.055 points to 6.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 2.52% or 0.19 points to trade at 7.34 in late trade. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.80% or 0.51 points to end at 27.79 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) shed 1.59% or 0.57 points to 35.28.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 85 to 56 and 12 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.87% or 0.40 to $45.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.64% or 0.28 to hit $43.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.19% or 2.34 to trade at $1245.84 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.09% to 1.1144, while EUR/GBP fell 0.16% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.37.
