Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Transport, Real Estate and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Gjensidige Forsikring ASA (OL:GJFS), which rose 2.18% or 3.0 points to trade at 140.2 at the close. Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) added 1.67% or 5.3 points to end at 316.7 and Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) was up 1.64% or 0.03 points to 1.91 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which lost 3.62% or 1.5 points to trade at 41.5 in late trade. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) declined 3.48% or 2.00 points to end at 57.50 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) shed 3.18% or 1.8 points to 53.3.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 110 to 71 and 3 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 0.79% or 0.34 to $42.53 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 1.20% or 0.56 to hit $45.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.40 to trade at $1071.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.23% to 9.1809, while USD/NOK fell 0.02% to 8.6454.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.15% at 99.83.
