Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Hotels, Restaurants & Leisure and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares declined 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Snep (CS:SNP), which rose 5.98% or 5.16 points to trade at 91.32 at the close. Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) added 5.76% or 2.56 points to end at 47.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) was up 5.64% or 30 points to 560 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which lost 5.99% or 6.80 points to trade at 106.70 in late trade. Holcim Maroc SA (CS:HOL) declined 5.05% or 101 points to end at 1899 and Delta Holding S.A (CS:DHO) shed 4.22% or 0.97 points to 22.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 17 to 17 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.31% or 1.07 to $45.22 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.65% or 0.81 to hit $47.91 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.96% or 11.30 to trade at $1166.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.12% to 10.9550, while USD/MAD rose 0.12% to 9.6545.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 94.97.
