Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Communication, Insurance and Real Estate sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 3.99% or 235 points to trade at 6125 at the close. Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) added 1.45% or 840 points to end at 58700 and Strauss Group (TA:STRS) was up 1.25% or 82 points to 6622 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 2.24% or 340 points to trade at 14820 in late trade. Kenon Holdings Ltd (TA:KEN) declined 1.60% or 129.00 points to end at 7950.00 and Bezeq (TA:BEZQ) shed 1.42% or 9.3 points to 645.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 218 to 126 and 112 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was down 0.94% or 0.57 to $59.93 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 0.07% or 0.04 to hit $67.22 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.26% or 3.20 to trade at $1221.40 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.27% to 3.8251, while EUR/ILS fell 0.05% to 4.3525.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 93.58.
