Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Energy and Diversified Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.87%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OSLO:FOE), which rose 7.33% or 4.8 points to trade at 69.5 at the close. DNO International ASA (OSLO:DNO) added 6.25% or 0.83 points to end at 14.10 and Seadrill Limited (OSLO:SDRL) was up 5.12% or 4.5 points to 93.3 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OSLO:NWC), which lost 5.15% or 15.9 points to trade at 293.0 in late trade. Norsk Hydro ASA (OSLO:NHY) declined 4.13% or 1.72 points to end at 39.90 and Akastor ASA (OSLO:AKAS) shed 2.02% or 0.3 points to 15.6.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 77 on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for June delivery was up 3.53% or 1.98 to $58.14 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 3.50% or 2.19 to hit $64.92 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.33% or 3.90 to trade at $1190.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.08% to 8.4815, while USD/NOK fell 0.70% to 7.8484.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.65% at 97.61.
