UK reports 4,330 more COVID-19 cases, 12 further deaths

LONDON (Reuters) - Britain on Wednesday reported a further 4,330 cases of coronavirus and 12 more deaths within 28 days of a positive test, according to official data.

The total number of people to have received the first dose of a vaccine stood at 39,585,665, the figures showed.

The vaccine does not stop you from getting it or spreading it so not great surprise numbers of infection are up as we ease lockdown. The real test now is to see a decoupling of hospitalisations and deaths from infection numbers.

We're not almost fully vaccinated, I'm in my 50s and just got my second jab last week. All the young people aren't vaccinated yet.
