Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Media & Publishing, Insurance and Industrial Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share rose 1.28%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Emaar The Economic City (SE:4220), which rose 10.97% or 1.30 points to trade at 13.15 at the close. Saudi Research and Marketing Group (SE:4210) added 10.00% or 4.75 points to end at 52.25 and Saudi Paper Manufacturing Co. (SE:2300) was up 9.81% or 1.85 points to 20.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Herfy Food Services Co (SE:6002), which lost 3.98% or 3.50 points to trade at 84.50 in late trade. National Gas & Industrialization Co (SE:2080) declined 1.99% or 0.50 points to end at 24.60 and Saudia Dairy and Foodstuff .Co (SE:2270) shed 1.57% or 1.75 points to 110.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 137 to 29 on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 0.23% or 0.09 to $36.40 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 0.84% or 0.32 to hit $38.48 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.08% or 0.90 to trade at $1064.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.09% to 4.1226, while USD/SAR fell 0.05% to 3.7509.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.08% at 97.67.
