Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Healthcare Equipment & Services, Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Auto & components sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX lost 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were BW LPG Ltd (OL:BWLPG), which rose 9.04% or 3.04 points to trade at 36.68 at the close. Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) added 1.12% or 3.7 points to end at 333.0 and Aker BP ASA (OL:AKERBP) was up 0.94% or 1.40 points to 149.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 5.18% or 0.07 points to trade at 1.21 in late trade. Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) declined 2.66% or 0.9 points to end at 32.2 and SalMar ASA (OL:SALM) shed 2.57% or 6.70 points to 254.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 108 to 80 and 16 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 0.39% or 0.21 to $53.09 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 0.54% or 0.30 to hit $55.05 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.00% or 0.05 to trade at $1133.65 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.03% to 9.0396, while USD/NOK fell 0.44% to 8.6660.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.25% at 103.00.
