On the Comex division of the New York Mercantile Exchange, Gold futures for April delivery traded at USD1153.30 a troy ounce at time of writing falling 0.08%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD1149.60 a troy ounce. Gold was likely to find support at USD1146.50 and resistance at USD1165.70.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.69% to trade at USD100.03.
Elsewhere on the Comex, Silver for May delivery fell 0.67% to trade at USD15.598 a troy ounce while Copper for May delivery fell 0.12% to trade at USD2.667 a pound.
