Investing.com – Norway equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Auto & components, Commercial Service And Supplies and Consumer Durables And Apparel sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.60%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 4.27% or 1.40 points to trade at 34.20 at the close. Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 1.44% or 1.70 points to end at 120.00 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was up 1.22% or 0.25 points to 20.69 in late trade.
Biggest losers included REC Silicon ASA (OL:REC), which lost 3.85% or 0.05 points to trade at 1.15 in late trade. Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA) declined 3.13% or 1.75 points to end at 54.25 and DNO International ASA (OL:DNO) shed 2.13% or 0.19 points to 8.71.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 86 and 17 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.45% or 0.65 to $45.48 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.52% or 0.72 to hit $47.98 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.44% or 5.95 to trade at $1348.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.06% to 9.2004, while USD/NOK rose 0.23% to 8.1883.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.20% at 94.99.
