Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 1.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Amer Sports Corporation (HEL:AMEAS), which rose 1.88% or 0.44 points to trade at 23.90 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HEL:HUH1V) fell 0.54% or 0.15 points to end at 27.72 and Neste Oil Oyj (HEL:NESTE) was down 0.57% or 0.13 points to 22.86 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V), which lost 3.52% or 0.90 points to trade at 24.64 in late trade. YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) declined 3.03% or 0.20 points to end at 6.41 and Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V) shed 2.67% or 0.1240 points to 4.5180.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 128 to 42 and 9 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was up 1.91% or 1.19 to $63.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.13% or 0.66 to hit $58.99 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.27% or 3.20 to trade at $1175.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.83% to 1.1143, while EUR/GBP fell 0.71% to 0.7090.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.63% at 95.68.
