Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Technology, Telecoms and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs), which rose 1.75% or 4.7 points to trade at 274.0 at the close. Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) added 1.49% or 3.2 points to end at 218.6 and Boliden AB (ST:BOL) was up 1.40% or 2.20 points to 159.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which lost 7.39% or 2.20 points to trade at 27.56 in late trade. Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) declined 1.02% or 0.95 points to end at 92.10 and Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) shed 0.91% or 2.3 points to 249.9.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 342 to 231 and 8 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.01% or 1.26 to $40.59 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.69% or 1.20 to hit $43.24 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.91% or 9.70 to trade at $1053.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.28% to 9.2078, while USD/SEK rose 0.33% to 8.7100.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 100.38.
