Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Investment, Public Services and Agriculture sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP gained 0.34% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupoaval (CN:GAA), which rose 2.48% or 30.0 points to trade at 1240.0 at the close. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) added 2.37% or 1440.0 points to end at 62080.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) was up 2.13% or 50.0 points to 2400.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.19% or 0.4 points to trade at 17.9 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 1.05% or 100.0 points to end at 9430.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) shed 0.65% or 200.0 points to 30600.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 11 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.02% or 1.68 to $163.77 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.58% or 16.00 to hit $2739.00 , while the December Gold contract rose 0.15% or 1.95 to trade at $1278.75 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.48% to 3005.50, while BRL/COP rose 2.02% to 942.31.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 98.34.
