Investing.com - Crude oil futures were lower in Asian trading hours on Friday.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD55.99 a barrel at time of writing falling 1.26%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD55.83 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD51.47 and resistance at USD57.42.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, fell 0.03% to trade at USD97.85.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for June delivery fell 0.95% to trade at USD63.24 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD7.25 a barrel.
