Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.72% to hit a new all time high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb), which rose 3.12% or 11.9 points to trade at 393.3 at the close. COLOPLAST B (COP:COLOb) added 2.86% or 15.5 points to end at 557.5 and DSV (COP:DSV) was up 2.52% or 5.7 points to 232.1 in late trade.
Biggest losers included A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb), which lost 1.00% or 150 points to trade at 14780 in late trade. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) declined 0.90% or 130 points to end at 14310 and TDC A/S (COP:TDC) shed 0.29% or 0.15 points to 51.95.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 112 to 57 and 2 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.52% or 0.77 to $51.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.76% or 0.99 to hit $57.56 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.05% or 12.50 to trade at $1206.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.63% to 7.0548, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4723.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.47% at 99.72.
