Investing.com – Norway equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Utilities and Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 1.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 10.67% or 2.7 points to trade at 28.0 at the close. Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) added 4.92% or 2.36 points to end at 50.30 and Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) was up 4.31% or 1.10 points to 26.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which lost 4.08% or 5.7 points to trade at 133.9 in late trade. Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG) declined 3.56% or 4.70 points to end at 127.50 and Yara International ASA (OL:YAR) shed 3.29% or 10.6 points to 311.4.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 91 to 86 and 14 ended unchanged on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.89% or 0.34 to $38.66 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.22% or 0.49 to hit $40.54 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 0.69% or 8.50 to trade at $1237.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.14% to 9.4008, while USD/NOK fell 0.60% to 8.2560.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.27% at 94.53.
