Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.79%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 0.88% or 8.0 points to trade at 917.5 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 0.21% or 0.4 points to end at 190.8 and Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) was up 0.03% or 0.1 points to 322.8 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH), which lost 3.67% or 16.1 points to trade at 423.1 in late trade. William Demant Holding (CO:WDH) declined 3.12% or 21.0 points to end at 652.5 and TDC A/S (CO:TDC) shed 2.75% or 0.99 points to 35.07.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 106 to 56 and 6 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.45% or 0.98 to $40.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 3.14% or 1.33 to hit $43.83 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.46% or 4.90 to trade at $1058.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 2.86% to 6.8271, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4600.
The US Dollar Index was down 2.02% at 98.02.
