Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Holding Companies, Forestry & Paper and Electrical & Electronic equipment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.71%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were BMCI (CS:BMCI), which rose 6.00% or 33 points to trade at 583 at the close. Hps (CS:HPS) added 4.55% or 18.95 points to end at 434.95 and Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG) was up 3.09% or 3.00 points to 100.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Alliances (CS:ADI), which lost 7.52% or 2 points to trade at 30 in late trade. Zellidja S.A (CS:ZELI) declined 6.00% or 8.25 points to end at 129.25 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) shed 6.00% or 1.44 points to 22.56.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 31 to 8 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 1.42% or 0.67 to $47.77 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.66% or 0.33 to hit $50.58 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.12% or 1.40 to trade at $1165.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.06% to 10.9550, while USD/MAD rose 0.02% to 9.6400.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.06% at 94.83.
