Investing.com – Mexico equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Financial Services, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 1.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 6.28% or 1.260 points to trade at 21.350 at the close. Wal - Mart De Mexico, SAB De CV (MX:WALMEX) added 2.94% or 1.160 points to end at 40.840 and Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) was up 2.76% or 1.06 points to 39.58 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Simec, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:SIMECB), which lost 2.41% or 1.070 points to trade at 43.210 in late trade. Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) declined 1.72% or 1.630 points to end at 93.340 and Gentera SAB de CV (MX:GENTERA) shed 1.21% or 0.330 points to 26.940.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 99 to 50 and 6 ended unchanged on the Mexico Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.33% or 3.70 to $1104.00 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.61% or 0.71 to hit $44.71 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.33% or 0.63 to trade at $47.98 a barrel.
USD/MXN was down 0.32% to 16.6983, while EUR/MXN fell 0.69% to 18.8207.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.40% at 95.76.
