Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 2.59%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HEL:KRA1V), which fell 0.95% or 0.10 points to trade at 10.42 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) fell 1.12% or 0.24 points to end at 21.20 and Metso Oyj (HEL:MEO1V) was down 1.20% or 0.31 points to 25.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which lost 7.25% or 0.3630 points to trade at 4.6420 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (HEL:NOK1V) declined 4.92% or 0.320 points to end at 6.180 and Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) shed 4.16% or 1.50 points to 34.57.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 159 to 17 and 4 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for August delivery was down 2.32% or 1.47 to $61.80 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 2.08% or 1.24 to hit $58.39 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.41% or 4.80 to trade at $1178.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.18% to 1.1184, while EUR/GBP rose 0.01% to 0.7091.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.30% at 95.31.
