Investing.com – Italy equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Chemicals and Utilities sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 added 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Italgas SpA (MI:IG), which rose 5.29% or 0.23 points to trade at 4.61 at the close. Moncler SpA (MI:MONC) added 2.54% or 0.54 points to end at 21.78 and Ferrari NV (MI:RACE) was up 2.54% or 1.90 points to 76.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mediaset (MI:MS), which lost 2.80% or 0.106 points to trade at 3.680 in late trade. Banco Bpm (MI:BAMI) declined 2.33% or 0.068 points to end at 2.848 and Exor NV (MI:EXOR) shed 2.20% or 1.11 points to 49.44.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 189 to 157 and 18 ended unchanged on the Milan Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 0.96% or 0.48 to $49.32 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 1.35% or 0.71 to hit $51.93 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.43% or 5.50 to trade at $1262.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.07% to 1.1174, while EUR/GBP rose 0.07% to 0.8703.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.03% at 97.30.
