Volume feels pretty light this morning on ftse which is a good sign for those hoping for a bounce. I think we see 6800 before 7000 definitely.  If it does bounce today/tomorrow its a reminder that you really don't want to be going long above 7080 in my opinion.

I could see a 20-50 point rise at the US open with the big boys applying a short squeeze if the US stays big red.

Added a little more at 58 but not much. Think the game for me is now be prepared to be very underwater and use account size to my advantage to avg down and hold on.  Will be VERY greedy though waiting for opps to add.  Next big one is 6800 and then 6600. There could very easily be a reaction from the dark powers of the fed today and they may well try to prop this up.  Don't forget - this was 7050 just two sessions ago

I've managed to get my average down to 6907 I'm happy with that, I'm sure it will end up past that at some point this week

Brian Donnison  nice Brian. Mine is 950 so you're in way better shape than me.  I don't know what will happen tbh - seems likely to be back above 950 this week but equally might not see it for a couple of months! Who knows!

yes it's a strange one this, I added some more funds £1k so have plenty of margin, I'm not going to add anymore unless there is another big drop, let it ride out now, looks way oversold to me

Brian Donnison  I think the only saving grace for me is that it's relatively OK compared to other EU indices which suggests other countries are buying ftse due to weak pound.  So if there is a bounce, I'm guessing ftse bounces hardest.  But put it this way - I've had 5 weeks of feeling VERRRYY comfortable trading and today I feel anything but.

Dave Round  IG data isnt the cash market as it includes all the prices out of hours so is distorts the averages.   Ive just taken it from the chart on here which is just the cash hours trading but wanted to make sure i was using the correct 200MA

OK swapped for LUK2 at 78. 200 day ema bounced on Friday out of hours at 6933 and broken with force today. 4hr and daily RSI breached. So make no mistake this is a biggy. Feeling incredibly sketchy but sticking to my plan established weeks ago. Move to double leverage on RSI breach and Triple if we make significant losses from here. currently 2.5% down so hurting a little but to be in under that line in high leverage looks like a dream from any other point on the graph in the past two years.

At July the 12th, it droped from 7080 to 6750 and then up to 7200 in 2 weeks. I suppose in a week or 2 we’ll be back at least to 7100

Have to say, I'd rather be long ftse than dax/cac right now. Think it's less likely to crumble than those two. They are both just way too high.
