The Group specializes in senior loans and manages its portfolios from the private side of the market. This gives us access to material nonpublic information about our borrowers and provides an advantage over managers who seek to manage senior loans from the public side, as though they were stocks or bonds. We use top down analysis to review industries; bottom up analysis for credit selection. The majority of our fundamental research is produced internally. Internal sources of research include: borrowers financial statements and various non-public documents (e.g., deal books, budget, projections, and compliance statements).
