The investment seeks to provide long-term growth of capital; current income is a secondary objective. The fund normally invests at least 80% of its net assets (plus any borrowings for investment purposes) in the common stocks of large- and medium-sized blue chip growth companies. Combined investments in convertible securities, preferred stocks, and debt securities are limited to 25% of total assets. It may invest in debt securities of any type without regard to quality or rating, including those rated below investment-grade (junk bonds) (up to 5% of total assets). The fund is non-diversified.
