RioZim Limited, together its subsidiaries, engages in the exploration, mining, and metallurgical operations in Zimbabwe. It mines for gold, nickel, copper, cobalt, platinum group of metals, chrome, diamonds, and coal deposits. The company holds 100% interest in the Renco mine that covers an area of approximately 2,736 hectares located in Nyajena communal lands in Masvingo Province; and interest in the Cam and Motor gold mine, which covers an area of approximately 1,151 hectares located in Kadoma area of Mashonaland West, as well as in Dalny mine loacted in Chakari. It also holds interests in the Murowa diamond mine located in southwest of Zimbabwe; and Sengwa coal mine located in North Western Zimbabwe, as well as operates the Empress nickel refinery located in Kadoma, Zimbabwe. The company was formerly known as Rio Tinto Southern Rhodesia Ltd. RioZim Limited was incorporated in 1956 and is headquartered in Harare, Zimbabwe.
