  • £23.4B in debt and still paying bilions in dividends. Who thinks that is sustainable?

    • What are you on about? Debt to equity ratio has been reduced significantly in the last 3 years. Now at a healthier level around 1.3

  • Have extended my holding while SP is below £16. A big well organised pharma while everyone is screwed up about their health looks to be a sound investment.

    • Will GlaxoSmithKline hit £20.00 this year ?

      • Having bought & sold this stock over the years & hold some currently, I think £18 is more realistic.

    • Uniphar Group PLC (UPR) undervalued pharmaceutical company!

      • Trap!

    • 1707 & climbing up. Pharmaceuticals must be the most sensible area to invest in at the moment with CV19 doing a great hatchet job.

        • The world has changed in favour of GSK. I remember 20 yrs ago we used to say buy under £18 & sell if over. I think £18-20 SP may well return this year with civilisation hanging on for a vaccine.

            • With the news of vaccine trials for CV19 starting tomorrow, there must some mileage in it for GSK despite not for profit comments. They are excellent at mass producing vaccines. Have been for years and now could be their moment. 1667 today.

            • I think the CV vaccine will come under the heading' non-profit making' SP has come up from my last comment but don't think it will go sky-high.

              • A intresting time for GSK, they have two things that can swing the price either way. A drop in price due to de merger could a great oppurtunity for bulls as im sure they will be right at the forefront of the push for the vaccine. Lemme know your thoughts

                • My initial reaction was to buy in [which I did] on the principle that GSK have always been a great vaccine producer. However, I heard the the CEO saying quite rightly that the profits from CV vaccine would be ploughed back into research/good causes etc. I would imagine the company would not want to be seen as profiteering from the misery CV has caused so the shareholder benefits might not be as great as if they were developing a new antidepressant or analgesic.

                • must buy this share as long term investment just bought them
                  1
                  • I'm sure this share is a good investment today @1570. GSK has always been big in vaccines & the potential demand is enormous with CV19. Also developing an effective therapeutic agent raises possibilities.

                        • This company should be going up with prospects of making a vaccine for corona virus, not heading down with demerger news.

                              • I have been a medic for years & have great confidence in the way GSK conduct their business. I'm sure they will make a comeback given time to higher SPs they reached in the past
