It operates through five segments: Building Construction Engineering; Infrastructure Construction and Investment; Real Estate Development and Investment; Prospecting and Design; and Others. It undertakes housing construction; and develops infrastructure projects, including urban rail transit, high-speed rail, bridges, expressways, municipal roads, urban integrated pipe corridors, ports and waterways, electric power, mining, metallurgy, petrochemicals, airports, and nuclear power plants. The company is also involved in the real estate development, financing, and investment in construction and integrated urban construction projects; and architectural design, urban planning, engineering survey, public utility design, and other fields, such as airports, hotels, sports facilities, exhibition venues, ancient architecture, and super high-rise buildings. In addition, it engages in engineering contracting, building science and technology, environmental protection for water, e-commerce, and financial businesses. The company was founded in 1982 and is based in Beijing, China. China State Construction Engineering Corporation Limited operates as a subsidiary of China Construction Engineering Corp.
